Bradley-Alexander Prediction

I can’t remember the last time I have had such a difficult time making a decision like this. It was a tough decision, but even before the fight was announced I’ve been thinking Devon. I’ve put so much thought into this and am still can see it go either way, but if I had to choose its always been Alexander. Why? Bradley is strong, relentless, in top condition, and doesn’t have a straight boxing style. He likes to trade and is a 20 round fighter. But look at one his toughest fights against Kendell Holt. He went down twice against counters and let Holt pick him apart. The reason why Bradley won is

because of his work rate and aggression. Now this was against Holt. Holt is a one trick pony. He can fight/box- he doesn’t have the heart of a boxer, dedication or conditioning. And he still gave Bradley the business (for the first six rounds).

Alexander is a far slicker and superior counter puncher compared to Holt. Seeing what Holt did to Bradley only shows that Alexanders style will prove difficult. Bradley has developed since then but in his fight against Abregu, he still got caught up in these wild exchanges and looped his punches.

Alexander is slick, can counter, can move, and is in as good condition as Bradley, and his punches land cleaner with as much power. His work rate is on the same rate as Bradley and throws 100 punches. He does not stop. It is going to be a war, and Bradley is inviting exchanges with Devon in hopes that he will get the better of the exchange and tire Alexander down. I think this is a mistake and Alexander will counter and drop Bradley in those exchanges as seen possible against Holt.

Bradley’s chance comes by cutting the ring off and pressuring Alexander against the ropes. But even if he has success to Devons body, Devon’s heart takes over his body (seen when he overcame leg cramps against a pressuring Kotelnik). Bradley pressures, goes to the body, and gets dropped a 1-2 times throughout the fight as he tries to

implement his game plan of trading and going to the body- I think his game plan will backfire.

Again, I would not be too surprised if Bradley takes it, but my money is on Alexander.

  1. Just like I commented at the start of this article, I EXPECTED Alexander to unravel in the second half of the fight and ultimately lose BUT I didn’t believe that he would be ANOTHER version of Zab Judah. He seemed to be losing heart and took advantage of the butt to “check out” just like Zab did in the Clottey fight. There’s a rematch clause but.. who would want to see them go at it again?? hmmmm… NOBODY!!

  2. I knew a head-butt would happen as they always do with Bradley. Devon is a quitter who cant pull the trigger and Bradley is just sloppy with no power. I don’t like Khan but he can beat either one of these fighters. What showed in this fight is neither one is as great as they thought they were. So good luck to either one of them ever landing a fight with May or Pac or even selling tickets.

  3. This was such a sloppy fight….. Headbutts, hugging, wrestling, wild punches……. HORRIBLE.!!!!!!!!!!.. Waste of time… I feel sorry for the people who bought tickets to this bullshit fight……..

  4. This was a bull shit fight i was really looking forward to this but now i know whey they cant sell any freaked tickets

  5. Devon Alexander is bullshit. He’s a punk that has no absolutely no heart.
He really needs to get the hell out of here. Really don’t get these fighters.
They are so week inside what a shame.

To be honest As much as I don’t like Amir Khan, I think he would beat both
    Bradly, and Alexander.

That fight was ridiculous, unbelievably garbage.

Real big disappointment, HBO should never ever televise these fighters again,

  6. Good analysis but… I think that Bradley will come on in the second half and take a close decision. I think that it will be Alexander losing his effective composuer and unable get on track, thus a loss.
