It was released yesterday that Juan Manuel Marquez (50-5-1, 37KO’s) will be fighting on May 1, 2010 at the MGM Grand Hotel though an opponent hasn’t been officially announced. Rumor is that he will be colliding with Ricky Hatton but at the same time rumors continue to circulate the internet about Amir Khan being Hatton’s next fight.
Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32KOs), who lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in December 2008 and he’s most recently lost to Manny Pacquiao in May 2009, in my opinion is better off facing Marquez. These are two brawlers who can produce an entertaining fight. Amir Kahn is trained by Freddy Roach, the same Roach who gave the blueprints to Pacquiao on how to demolish Hatton in two rounds.
What makes you think he won’t use the same tactics to defeat the Hitman again? As we wait to get the official word on Marquez’s next opponent, one thing is clear, Marquez will be fighting May 1st.

I too would like to see Marquez vs Hatton bout. It’ll be exciting due to the styles they both bring to the table. Although I would have to go w/Marquez as the winner by tko because his chin could sustain punches
