The promoter Ignacio Huizar announced yesterday in Tijuana that the rematch for the interim WBA bantamweight title between Christian Mijares and the Venezuelan Nehomar Cermeño has been postponed until the end of July or early August.
He also announced that the date has been set for Jorge Linares of Venezuela to defend his WBA super featherweight title against the Mexican Josephat Perez.
I agree with Pacal’s take on Linares completely. Someone needs to fetch him from Japan and get him regular TV exposure here in the States. Surely there’s more money for Linares here?
If anybody hasnt seen Linares fight, go youtube him or sumt. That guys freakn good. Cant wait till they start showing his fights. Best prospect in boxing.
