Boxing fans are being invited to attend every press event during fight week for the Victor Darchinyan vs. Jorge Arce showdown at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Ca. on Saturday, Feb. 7. “We’re going to be fan-friendly, up close and personal all week in Anaheim,” said Bob Arum of Top Rank. Normally closed workouts, the final press conference and the prefight weigh-in will all be open to the public.
Here is the schedule:
Tuesday, Feb 3
5 pm – Victor and Jorge will meet young amateur boxers at the Anaheim PAL Boxing Club, Downtown Youth Center, 225 S. Philadelphia St., Anaheim.
Wednesday, Feb 4
2 pm – Victor and Jorge will work out at the TKO Boxing Center, 1601 S. Center St., Santa Ana, Ca. Victor will start at 2 pm, Jorge will be there at 3 pm. Anthony DeMarco and Kid Diamond will also be there.
Thursday, Feb 5
Noon – Final press conference at The Village at Orange Mall, 1500 East Village Way, Orange, Ca. All fighters will attend, plus promoters Bob Arum and Gary Shaw. Victor and Jorge will take photos with fans and sign autographs.
Friday, Feb 6
10 am – Report for weigh-in at the Honda Center, Section 201 – East End. Victor and Jorge will be on the scale at 11 am. Please use the NE Media Entrance for your press wristbands from Steve Flynn who is doing credentials for this event. Fans are invited to attend and meet all of the fighters.
Saturday, Feb 7
2:30 pm – Doors open. First bell 3:30 pm and the SHOWTIME Championship Boxing telecast begins 6 pm with Demarco vs. Diamond followed by the main event.

On the eve of Darchinyan vs. Arce, Top Rank is promoting an Azteca America televised event at the Maywood Community Center. First bell will be 7 pm. The telecast order will be Mikey Garcia vs. Carlos Guevara, Omar Chavez vs. Rodolfo Armenta followed by the main event featuring Jesus Soto-Karass vs. Carson Jones
