“People’s Championship Boxing” from Miami

Alexander Castro steps back in the ring this Saturday, December 2 in Miami, Florida.

The tough and talented Colombian will be fighting on the Don King Productions’ “People’s Championship Boxing” show scheduled to ignite live from the Casino Miami Jai-Alai. There will be five title fights on this exciting card including the main event of Ian Green vs. Vaughn Alexander.

Castro’s (13-1, 11 KOs) sole defeat on his pro ledger is a split-decision loss to Green in January of this year. Their heated middleweight clash had the fans roaring and Alex would love nothing more than securing a rematch with the champ.

But first he is on tap to face Bronx, New York southpaw Harry K. Cruz (14-3, 11 KOs) this weekend in this Don King event. It will be the Colombiano vs. the Boricua in ten rounds of action. Their matchup will be for the WBA NABA middleweight championship bout. Saturday’s fiesta will showcase the five title tilts including Castro vs. Cruz.

Team Castro is looking forward to Saturday’s contest and finishing the year with a bang.

Alex has been keeping busy having scored a TKO victory over Hector Esnar Bobadilla on November 4. That performance was on the “Only in America 92 Celebration” which celebrated the legendary Hall of Famer promoter Don King’s 92nd Birthday. Team Castro was very happy with his last performance and are expecting another opportunity for Alex to show his skills inside the ropes.

After his November win, the middleweight went right back in the gym to train with his coach (and former pro fighter) Danny Santiago at the Boxeo y Mas gym.

Santiago has guided his young charge to much success in the pro game along with Castro’s manager Steve Harpst and Cali Promotions (Louis Dell, Sean Ford and Dan Hartwick). Team Castro continues to put the city of Tulua on the map as the boxer works hard to make his world championship dreams come true. This week, they have traveled about 1600 miles to fight for glory once again in the U.S.

Come Saturday night, Castro plans to notch another win and hoist another championship belt in his hands.

And as a special holiday gift, fans around the globe can catch the December 2 action live on www.donking.com!
