July 30: Ed Holmes’ All Star Boxing Show

Los Angeles boxing fans are in for a treat THIS Saturday, July 30 as promoter Ed Holmes and All Star Boxing hosts their “Battle of the Rising Stars” at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, Calif.

It’s been a busy year for the Southern California company whose previous events were held in June at the Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles and at the Commerce Casino in April. Pre-pandemic, they were known for their Friday night fights at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello.

And now post-pandemic, they’ve held sold-out events at their new venues at the Commerce and the Bonaventure. It’s always a lively audience; spectators know they can expect competitive bouts and exciting action inside the ropes. It’s also the chance to see up-and-coming boxers, future stars and past and present prizefighters attending the weekend matches.

There were a ton of familiar faces ringside at their previous fights including current and former fighters like Henry Tillman, Rafael Ruelas, Paul Banke, Ziyad “Zizo” Almaayouf, Adam Lopez, Armand Manuelian, Christian Camarena, Aron Martinez, Tony Thompson, Jerry Bradford, Louis Rose, Manny Cota, Emmanuel Cota, Sammy Stewart, Robert Ortiz, Roger “Speedy” Gonzalez, ABO’s Alan Santana, trainers Freddie Roach, Buddy McGirt, Shadeed Suluki, Kamal Suluki, Rudy Hernandez, Sal Castañeda, Steve Harpst, Manny Nava, Mando Huerta, Mario “Big Yuka” Morales, Cliff Rayman, Anthony Huizar, director Antoine Fuqua, actors Eli Goree, Frank Stallone, Max Martini and Duane Henry, the IGMOB ambassadors, and many, many more.

The All Star Boxing team of Ed Holmes and Franky Epstein, matchmaker Eddie Rodriguez, ring announcer Jim FitzGerald and crew always provide an evening full of spirited matchups, an energetic crowd and lots of celebrity guests.
