Is Adrien Broner Ready for DeMarco?

Lightweight titlist Antonio DeMarco will make his third defense of his 135-pound title against flashy former junior lightweight titleholder Adrien “The Problem” Broner on Nov. 17 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. It will be televised by HBO.

I personally believe this will be Broner’s toughest fight. He hasn’t fought anyone like DeMarco. DeMarco is a slow starter but has a chin, the heart of a lion and is no Vicente Escobedo, Rodriguez or Eloy Perez.

DeMarco is coming off an impressive first round win over mandatory challenger John Molina. Everyone sees the reflection of Floyd Mayweather Jr. when you see Adrien Broner, young flashy and cocky trash talker.

Last month Broner was having a twitter war with newly crowned Robert Guerrero. Guerrero was calling Broner a rookie and needing to man up while Broner claiming he will f**k him up.

During the Ward-Dawson weight-in last month, Guerrero confronted Broner, Broner kept calm and wouldn’t look at Guerrero straight in the eye. For someone talking all kinds of crap over the internet and not being able to back it up when confronted says a lot about a person.

Let’s just hope Broner makes weight, unlike his fight with Escobedo where Broner weighed in 3½ pounds over the 130-pound limit. Once you’re in the square circle, there’s no running back.

What’s your opinion on Broner?

  1. dont get me wrong I still think Broner is a great opponent for DeMarco. I am against the fence, but I am sticking with DeMarco to win by SD but I will not be surprise if Broner wins.

  2. Dam, Broner can’t even look him in the eyes. Playground is put up or shut up. Weak and never seen him with a lack of something to say. No way he fights Guerrero at 147 though!
