Gone is June and July, here we are the beginning of August. The summer months so far have been interesting to say the least for boxing.
While Pacquiao was getting upset, Ortiz once again quitting and Khan getting stopped, Floyd Mayweather was behind bars serving his sentence for domestic battery.
However while he may have been physically behind bars it does not mean that he nor his posse which include rapper 50 cent have been quiet.
In the last couple weeks 50 cent has been approved for a promoters license in New York and Las Vegas under the promotional banner name TMT “the money team.” Along the way he also had a few choice words through twitter for Oscar De La Hoya founder of Golden Boy Promotions and the company who has promoted Mayweather last few fights.
All while the main man of TMT Promotions Floyd Mayweather the most boisterous of his crew has not been able to let his feelings on any of the events of this summer be known. That will change August 3rd as Mayweather is set to be released from jail in which many expect him to have some words for what has occurred in boxing but also how he has changed since being in jail.
June and July were pretty interesting months in boxing and now with Mayweather getting out, starting a new promotional company with 50 cent, expect August to get even more interesting when Mayweather let’s his own thoughts be known.
