Chavez is in town preparing for his upcoming world title fight against “The Pride of Providence” Peter Manfredo Jr., Saturday, Nov.19 at Reliant Arena in Houston,Texas. Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Zanfer Promotions, DiBella Entertainment and Tecate, Chavez Jr. vs Manfredo Jr. will be televised on HBO Boxing After Dark.

@ Cabrito, right on man, he’s ducked any legit challenge, it’s a shame to see he’s labeled as a champion. As big of a fan of his father that I am, I simply dont care for Jr and I wont kid myself by pretending that he earned that title.
No true world champion should be as protected as JC Chavez Jr. So far he’s backed out of fighting amyone that matters. Will he ever man up and face the legit middleweight champion Sergio Martinez? I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
