The WBC has officially asked promoters Ahmet Öner and Lou DiBella to take up negotiations for a welterweight championship fight between WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto (26-0, 20 KOs) and WBC Silver welterweight champion Selcuk Aydin (20-0, 15 KOs). Öner and DiBella have until September 17th to reach an agreement or the fight will go purse bid at WBC headquarters in Mexico City.
