The ‘Filipino Flash’ Nonito Donaire will defend his interim WBA super flyweight title against Hernan ‘Tyson’ Marquez of Mexico at the Coliseo Jose 
Miguel in Puerto Rico on July 10. Marquez lost his last fight by unanimous decision, but has won a total of 27 with 20 by KO. Marquez, 21, said it was his grandfather who named him Tyson. “I was an amateur and Pops said I hit as hard as Mike Tyson,” Marquez said.
“Chief trainer Robert Garcia is with Nonito right now in San Leandro (California) where Nonito is training,” said Cameron Dunkin, manager of Donaire. The Donaire vs. Marquez title fight will be on the same card with world champion Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Bernabe Concepcion. Both fights will be televised by SHOWTIME. Donaire, 27, won the interim WBA super flyweight title in August, 2009, and has made one successful defense. He is unbeaten in world title bouts.
I don’t think Darchinyan will go for a rematch right now, he’s affraid of Donaire that’s all… 😀
I want to see a Donaire vs Darchinyin rematch first…
