  1. I was there and I’m glad I made the trip, it was a very entertaining fight, he traded shots and gave us what we paid for.

It was obvious it wasn’t an the Eric Morales at his peak but the skills were there, a bit slower and with less leg movement, but I was still impress with his performance despite a 2 and half year layoff.

He lost a lot of weight in a few months and he still needs to work more to get back in good shape, I think this was a good test, he has time to work on the weight and make adjustments if he wants to go against A class opponents, he should really forget about Pacquiao, there is no way he can compete at this time with him, since the last time they met in the ring Pacquiao’s skills have gone up a lot and there is no way I think Eric can compensate that while being out of the ring so long, looks like the rest was good but the wars he had over the years wont go away just like that, plus he needs to work and see if he can at least get back to who he was in the ring before, I’m not sure that is even possible, so Pacquiao should be out of the question if he wants to compete.

But think a fight with Juan Manuel Marquez could be a good all action fight, or even a 4th with Barrera, he could come out of retirement to make it happen 1 more time, but if Eric decides to keep on fighting I really see a Marquez fight in the near future.

By the way he’s little brother Ivan Morales looks, moves and fights almost identical to him, if he keeps it up maybe we will see another great “Terrible” champion in a few years.
