Welterweight prospect Omar Chavez (17-0, 13KO’s), son of a living legend Julio Cesar Chavez, is returning to the ring on September 15. This will be the first fight for Chavez since his tragic July bout with Marco Nazareth. Nazareth passed away in Puerto Vallarta due to injuries sustained in a brave braw with Omar Chavez. Nazareth underwent emergency brain surgery after being knocked out, but doctors were unable to save his life. Nazareth died of brain hemorrhage.
Also on the card, Humberto Soto will defend his WBC super featherweight title against Josenilson Dos Santos. Fan favorite Jorge Arce will face unbeaten Simphiwe Nongqayi of South Africa for the vacant IBF Super flyweight title. Former champion Ulises Solis will also 
be on the card his opponent to be announced. This mega card will take place in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Undefeated Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr., will headline a first-class boxing card when he takes on Jason “The Hammer” Lehoullier of Portland, Maine, in Top Rank’s Latin Fury 11, broadcasting live on Pay-Per-View from Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, Saturday, Sept. 12.
The tension for this highly anticipated match-up has been building since the original date was scrapped because of a rib injury Chavez, Jr. (39-0-1, 29 KOs), from Culiacan, Mexico, suffered during training camp. But the son of the iconic fighter Julio Cesar Chavez powered through it and has his sights set squarely on his opponent. It’s on.
