The sixth time world champion Oscar De La Hoya was in Panama for the “KO on Drugs” Festival. Among other topics, De La Hoya discussed a possible between the current #1 pound for pound fighter Manny Pacquiao and WBC lightweight champion Edwin Valero.
“Edwin Valero hits harder than Pacquaio but the Filipino is much quicker. This is a fight that Valero can win because of his heart and his will to win,” De La Hoya stated before the weigh in for the fight card held last Saturday night at the Roberto Duran Arena in Panaman City. “I speak from experience since I fought Pacquiao and I sparred with Valero. Valero would have to apply pressure because Pacquaio is confident and can hit hard.”
“For Pacquiao, he would have to box because that would be the only way to beat Valero,” De La Hoya added. “If Pacquaio goes toe to toe with Valero, he will end up knocked out.”
Oscar is not a great fighter , if he is, there would be no problem on weight class (compare to mosley and cotto)…on my opinion on valero….i think he’s not enough for pacquiao…yeah hes a southpaw like pacman…but not clean and speedy southpaw and by the time he challenge pacman in the ring pacman doesnt have the problem going down in weight or gaining…coz for sure pacquiao is hard to deal with after the cotto fight coz hes doing the plyometrics training (not everybody can do this coz it needs proper techniques) so the speed of pacman right now is still a joke so wait until you see him after the training…MUCH FASTER and PUNCH are HARDER…..
Make no mistake that was not De La Hoya that night.

Let talk about weight. If you lose to much weight after fighting at middleweight and superwelterweight you are going to be drained of energy period. He was not himself that night.
Im tired of oscar de la hoya, he’s predicting for nothing, anyway Im avid fan of oscar but when he surrendered to manny pacqiao i lost comfident to oscar now, he is barking again that manny loose to hatton ,that manny never macth up to cotto. you look like a woman you know that idol.

im tired of de la hoya sayen that everybody can beat pacquiao, he said the same thing about hatton n look wut happend to him
