Every time I talk to other boxing fans, the number one topic we all talk about is the highly anticipated super mega fight between top welterweight champion Miguel Cotto and the No. 1 pound-for-pound champion in the world, Manny Pacquiao.
These two fighters are by far the most exciting big names in the sport of boxing. Both their styles have what it takes to win over the masses of casual fans and even ignorant close-minded fans.
Yes, the match up between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez is another topic we all talk about but it usually ends with “Floyd is going to win, but its going to be a boring fight because Floyd loves to hit and run.” Though Marquez is a brawler, Floyd won’t fire back and that’s the disappointment. Maybe that’s why they haven’t sold many tickets.
Pacquiao and Cotto are exciting fighters to watch, they do not duck anyone. They fight frequently. They do not resort to trash talking or ridiculous publicity stunts to promote their careers, these are the guys who bring new boxing fans to the sweet science.
Last month I did a poll to see who will win between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto and how. The results are close but 48% said Cotto will win via KO and 36% said Pacquiao by KO one, thing we all can agree on is some one is going to get knocked out!
Both are great fighters and neither one of them would resort to such childishness.
I think maybe someone had to many drinks before watching boxing matches. Did I just hear cotto being acused of fighting dirty, Thats a joke wright? Thats nonsence
