The highly anticipated July 18 fight between Floyd Mayweather and Juan Manuel Marquez has been postponed due to a rib injury sustained by Mayweather while training. The mega-fight was scheduled to take place at MGM Grand in Las Vegas and be televised live on HBO Pay-Per-View. “I am extremely disappointed that this fight has to be postponed. I was training very hard and looking forward to getting back in the ring on July 18th,” said Mayweather. “I was very disappointed to hear the news about the fight being postponed,” said Marquez from his training camp in Mexico. “I will remain focused, in shape and ready to fight whenever the fight is rescheduled for.” Information about rescheduling the fight will be made available as soon as possible. Well there wasn’t an issue when Shane beat the hell of a cheating Margaritto in that fight. Why should it be so different now with Pacquaio.
Shane has been boxing for many many years in the sport its kind of an insult to say that he can’t be trusted when we don’t know the full extent of truth. What about that defamation of character suit that he has filed, that has too tell you something, someone is lying…..
As for now he is still champion of the world, and that’s the bottom line.
He hasn’t fought since January, he’s hungry for a fight now, and I don’t blame him. He’s willing to drop weight and take less of a purse to fight Manny Pacquaio how can they refuse that one. I have mixed fillings lol BS aside I was really waiting for this one and now who knows exactly how long will it be postpone. I just want to get this one over with, see if Marquez can pull of the win and who goes to battle the Pacman, I really think Manny is going to want Cotto for his November/December fight, Cotto was exposed last weekend and to me is the easiest opponent for Manny instead of Mayweather or Marquez.
