mosleySoon after Manny Pacquiao annihilated Ricky Hatton of England this last Saturday night in Las Vegas, two fighters stepped up and nominated themselves as candidates for Pacquiao’s next opponent: Shane Mosley of Pomona, CA and Culiacan, MX’s Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. for months has been asking for a big name fight to justify his career. Bob Arum mentioned Chavez Jr. as one of the candidates to face the Filipino in November. The question is at what weight the fight would take place since Chavez Jr. fight at 154 lbs.
while Pacquiao’s last bout was at 140.

Shane Mosley, who is coming off a spectacular KO over Antonio Margarito last January, expressed to the assembled media that he would be more than happy to fight Pacquiao.

“We can go to a catch weight, like 143 lbs,” Mosley stated.
