1. We got the good news that you will be fighting early next year for the WBC silver lightweight belt against Reyes Sanchez, what are you thoughts on the fight?

First God, the opportunities are reaching me and they are getting here by themselves. We need to to appreciate them. I give thanks to God for the experience that he has given me in my short career. I feel able of to fight not only Reyes Sanchez but the actual champions of the world in the lightweight division. I feel stronger and with more experience and the truth is that I feel very confident. I am very confident that my time is coming. Our time is coming for us to move forward.

2. The silver title is in a sense another interim title which you have already held, do you think you can motivate yourself to go after that title when it is not full fledged one?

Boxing is like that. It is very difficult. It very difficult that you get two opportunities in a short period of time. The truth is that this is step by step. Right now we have Reyes Sanchez for the silver title and we must win, we must prove that we are ready for this and more still and wait for the bigger fights to come.

3. It is rumored that the fight might be on the undercard of Montiel-Donaire in Las Vegas, what are your thoughts on fighting on the under card of such an anticipated fight in 2011?

I would be extremely happy if the fight was on that card under a fight that everybody wants to see. To fight on that card is another opportunity for me to be known more. For all my fans which the truth is that I didn’t think I had them but I do, there is one or two out there, for them to notice the quality that we have, that we are again at it and that we want to reach the top.

4. What did you think of the fight between Humberto Soto and Urbano Antillon?

It was a very tough fight but attractive for the fans and television. People liked really liked that fight because of the type of fight that it was, a come forward fight. It is great to see those type of fights and to know that there is those kind of opponents to be able to fight against them in the future.

5. A fight against Humberto Soto might not happen because you are guys are trained by the same team but what do you think of a fight against Urbano Antillon?

It sounds like a fight that I would love because of his style and my style. It will end itself for a good fight and attractive for the fans. I would be very happy if in the future that fight can be made.

6. Would you use the same strategy that Humberto Soto used?

Like they say in boxing, each style is different and each one of us has a different style. Boxing right now is about intelligence, a thousand times intelligence is worth more that strength. That has been proven many times by fighters. We would be very intelligent in a fight against him. We would try to make a much easier fight.

7. Do you have a message for your fans in this holiday season?

FIrst of all that, I hope that they have a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year and for them to keep supporting me, God willing we will start the year on the right foot and hopefully we get more opportunities to give them good fights in the future.

  2. I think that Demarco’s career is a total debacle .He doesn’t have what it takes to become a prominent boxer.Valero punished him before passing away.
