556738BOOK REVIEW: “REELIN’ IN THE YEARS” by Theodore “Ted” Sares   Mr. Ted Sares…The “Bull” as we know him has done it again. On the heels of his first boxing literary classic, “Boxing Is My Sanctuary”, out comes his new work “Reelin’ In The Years”.

In this book Ted takes us through the different eras. He paints a vivid picture of our world during those times. Then he ties them to important bouts and famous fighters who roamed the landscape of those decades. It is pure nostalgia mixed with fury. I loved it!

Ted talks about spoilers and survivors about tough guys and journeyman opponents. ” Have Gloves Will Travel”. Ted also touches on one of his favorite topics, “Closet Classics”. Brutal fights that left an indelible mark on our memories. He also discusses the inspiration and courage of the brave men who engage in these sessions of mayhem.

This is a wonderful book that held my interest from page one. Yes Ted did it again. Someone asked me which of Ted’s books did I like better? I told him that’s like asking me which A.J.Liebling book did I like better, “The Sweet Science” or “A Neutral Corner”. Enough said…
