WBA Interim super flyweight champion Rafael “Torito” Concepcion and two-time world champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce will duke it out today Monday, September 15 (Mexican Independence Day).
“It will be a great fight because our styles are made for each other. I don’t back down and only know how to go forward,” said Concepcion, who will make the first defense of the title he won by stopping Filipino sensation AJ Banal. “I only know one thing, to beat me he is going to have to knock me out and to knock me out he is going to have to kill me, and you know that’s not going to happen. He’s going back to Panama without the belt,” promised Arce. The fight is promoted by Promociones Zanfer of Tijuana, Mexico and the Institute of Sports of Mexico City led by Mexico’s greatest female athlete Ana Gabriel Guevara, 2004 silver Olympic Medallist in the 400 meters (pictured above with the fighters).

Well, it’s Arce and it’s for free in Mexico, I’m watching!
Arce is not the same but he is still entertaining to watch, although he has be lucky on his last few fights. We’ll see what’s left on the tank for him.
