Gennady Golovkin will face Curtis Stevens on November 2, live on HBO from the The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, a home game for Stevens, who is from Brooklyn.

‘GGG’ has proven himself to be one of the most popular fighters in the sport, whose 88.9 knockout percentage is the best among active world titleholders.

Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24 KOs)

“I am happy to fight in front of the boxing fans in New York City again. Madison Square Garden is a very special place for me. I will put on my best performance and defend my titles once again in this great city.”

Stevens, 28, who dropped down to middleweight from super middleweight in 2012, has been calling out Golovkin, something few others have dared to do.

Curtis Stevens (25-3, 18 KOs)

“November 2nd is my turn to shine and that night I am going to be GREAT. The WBA belt is coming home to Brooklyn. Everyone put ya money on ‘GGG’ so I could be like 30-1. I could get more money.”
