This Saturday, Zanfer Promotions will present a unique event billed as “Guerra mundial en el Yaqui” at the Palenque de la Expo in Obregón, Sonora, Mexico. The show will be televised by both TV Azteca and Televisa.
TV Azteca will present WBO featherweight champion Orlando “Siri” Salido (36-11-2, 24 KOs) in a non-title ten rounder against super featherweight Weng Haya (15-4, 9 KOs).
Televisa will present two-time former world champion Cristian “Diamante” Mijares (43-6-2, 19 KOs), who will meet Alejandro “Alex” Valdez (25-6-2, 19 KOs) in a super bantamweight clash.
Interesting I thought he and Juan Manuel Lopez would have had their rematch early next year. Speaking of Lopez, where’s he been? I have not heard much of anything since Salido beat him down.
