On the undercard of Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez III, Tim Bradley made his Top Rank debut as he took on the 40-year-old Cuban Olympic gold medalist Joel Casamayor as one of the co-features a fight that many found very boring considering the previous fight between Mike Alvarado – Breidis Prescott was a toe to toe war.

As expected, Bradley won after Casamayor’s corner threw in the towel. The Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director told ESPN that Casamayor tested positive for marijuana and stimulants. The commission could fine Casamayor up to 100 percent of his $100,000 purse, suspend him, or a combination of both for violation of the drug-testing regulations.

Casamayor, who is past his prime, needs to retire already. Did anyone find this fight entertaining?

  1. There was nothing entertaining about that fight, like I said it was perfect if you needed a bathroom break or make a quick run to the store for beer. I called it garbage before it happened and was not wrong, when you stick one of the least exciting young fighter’s in the ring against a washed up vet like Casamayor then your gonna get a dud. As for the Marijauna, it’s not a bad drug but as a professional fighter you should take your career more seriously. Then again I’m sure he was there to simply collect a paycheck. Now he may lose it because he couldn’t wait until after the fight to get stoned. Just retire Casamayor.
