This piece of shit,” those were the hate words Brandon Rios used towards Urbano Antillon in yesterdays press conference held at the Whilshire Grand Hotel in Los Angeles.
Top Rank hosted a press conference for the media to officially announce the Brandon Rios (27-0-1, 19 KOs) vs. Urbano Antillon (28-2, 20 KOs) upcoming bout on July 9 at the Home Depot Center in Carson California.
“Bam Bam” Rios will make his first defense of his world title after being crowned by stopping Miguel Acosta via 10th round TKO. Rios is arguably the division’s most exciting fighter with his aggressive style. He’s not one to hold back.
“This is the last time you will fight for a world title, your career will be over, Maywood will not have a world champ. This is Maywood vs Oxnard, I am going to destroy him,” said Rios.
Urbano Antillon of Maywood, Calif. is coming off a sensational fight of the year candidate against Humberto Soto though Antillon lost, he is not one to take lightly and his resume speaks for itself. Rene Gonzalez (27-1-1), Tyrone Harris (23-4), former world title challenger Daniel Attah (24-4-1) and Bobby Pacquiao (28-13-3), the younger brother of Manny Pacquiao, are just a few names hanging from Antillon’s belt.
Things got out of control when Rios took the podium and members of Antillon’s camp interrupted and continued to yell, “You talk too much!” Rios fired back and continued to bash Antillon.
According to Rios, Antillon disrespected him by talking about his girlfriend and family and that is why he has promised to knock him out.
“You’re not going to fight for a title again that’s a promise and I don’t break my promises,” stated Rios.
Also in an attendance was lightweight Mercito Gesta (21-0-1, 11KOs) and his trainer Vicented Parra. Gesta is currently ranked number 2 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and will make his Top Rank debut.

I am curious what did Urbano said about Rios’s family .Is Rios exaggerating what urban said about his family or urban did insult Rios’s family .please let me know if you know !!!
I just do not like the fact that anyone says that someone insulted me without being specific and without giving details .
Can’t wait for this fight, it’s one I’m looking most forward to so far this year. I think Bam Bam is gonna take it, but won’t count out Antillon it can go either way but it will be a hell of a fight.
