Antonio Margarito was rushed to the hospital shortly after his loss to Manny Pacquiao with several deep cuts and in need of surgery for a fractured orbital bone. Margarito looked like Rocky Balboa after losing to Apollo and I could of sworn I heard him yelling for Adrian, I mean Michelle. At the end, Margarito’s surgery was a big success. The doctors who performed the surgery to repair Margarito’s fractured orbital bone said there were no complications and there would be no lingering effects with his right eye. Still, it will be at least a couple months before Margarito is able to get back in the gym.

Even though he lost, Margarito was guaranteed at least $3 million and that total could reach $6 million once the pay-per-view numbers are tabulated this week, not bad for a beating I would say.

Manny Pacquiao earned a guaranteed $15 million, though he is likely to make millions more on his percentage of Pay-Per-View sales, not bad for punching Margarito 474 times and fracturing his cheek bone.

When you’re making this kind of money, everyone one wants a piece. MMA fighters wish they could get paid like this, even a music company, RBM Group International, is trying to get a piece of Pacquiao’s fortune. Manny Pacquiao got sued for a whopping $10 million by the company which hired him to record music. Pacquiao promised to record a total of 12 songs but never did. RBM Group International filed the lawsuit earlier this week in the Los Angeles county Superior Court claiming that they had paid Pacquiao in 2009 but no work has been done to date.

RBM alleges that they paid an initial $40,000 to record two songs in October 2009 but later refused to record any songs. The music company claims that they are out of pocket $200,000 and have lost profits to the tune of $10 million. Pacquiao’s team has not commented on the allegations. Pacquiao has return to his political duties in the Philippines.
