Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and the three-time world champion, Marco Antonio Barrera were in San Antonio today to promote their upcoming fights on the big “Latin Fury 15″ boxing card that Top Rank will be telecast on pay-per-view from the Alamodome on Saturday, June 26.
Chavez Jr (40-0-1, 30 KOs) of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico will take on John Duddy
(29-1, 18 KOs) of Ireland in the main event.
In the co-feature bout of the night, Marco Antonio Barrera (68-7, 43 KOs) of Mexico City will take on a Adilson de Jesus (25-4, 20 KOs) of Bahia, Brazil in a 10 round lightweight bout.
Barrera has been training in Guadalajara for over a month for this comeback fight.
Todd duBoef, president of Top Rank and Fernando Beltran, president of Zanfer Promotions led the press conference held on the floor of the Alamodome.
“We have great respect for the Mexican boxing fans and we hope that they enjoy this card, as they will see a future champion in Chavez Jr. and one of the all-time greats in Barrera. It should a night of great action here at the Alamodome,” duBoef said.
