Second, last December Pacquiao filed a defamation lawsuit in the state of Nevada against Floyd Mayweather Jr., Floyd Mayweather Sr., Roger Mayweather, Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer for defamatory statements accusing Pacquiao of using performance enhancing drugs.
If you where being sued, would you give Pacquiao the biggest payday of his carrier?
Third, Bob Arum hates Floyd Mayweather Jr. There’s no way of sugar coating it, it is what is. Arum could have made this fight but chose not too. I personally think Manny Pacquiao is scared of Floyd Mayweather.

Well, last month Antonio Margarito told a Tijuana Newspaper, Frontera that Bob Arum of Top Rank assured him a fight with Pacquiao in November. In a recent interview, Freddie Roach was asked about holding the Pacquiao-Margarito fight in Mexico which the trainer quickly shot down.
“Margarito has no license. They said could we fight in Mexico but that’s not going to happen. That would be a real bad move for Manny Pacquiao to slap the commission in the face. I’m thinking about it and the number one contender in mind right now is Edwin Valero,” Roach told BoxingScene.com.
Early last year Freddie Roach told Brian Kenny from ESPN Radio that Margarito and his trainer, Javier Capetillo should be banned for life.
“They should be banned from boxing for life,” Roach said. “We don’t need those types of people in boxing.”

After that interview, I ran into Freddie Roach during a Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton press conference in Los Angeles and Roach told me he was going to help Antonio Margarito get his license back and that he might even train the Tijuana Tornado and guess what? (Click here to see it) So Freddie please stop influencing Pacquiao not to fight Margarito though Edwin Valero will be an entertaining fight, I think Pacquiao-Margarito will be more exciting as he will be the last Mexican boxer we have to beat the “Mexecutioner.”

The Nevada state commision has it rules and protocols, let them do their job with the drug testing…and get the fight done. Mayweather had to make up his rules, to get out of the fight. He has always dodged top fighters…

honestly I could care less if I ever saw margarito fight again, He’s a digrace to boxing and he should be band for life. He was always complaining that noone would give him a shot and that other boxers avoided him, he never had that big money fight. Well cotto gave him the break he was waiting for and look what he did. He stole that belt and probably hurt cottos career in the process. He attempted to cheat in the mosely fight and look what happend to him when he didnt have bricks in his gloves. Margarito dosent deserve a fight with pacman or anyone else for that matter.

It’s funny how all can change so quickly, when Pacquiao was fighting DLH, Jim Lampley mention what if Pacquiao would fight Margarito and Larry Merchant said no way, that it was to much, Margarito was to big for Pacquiao and that was pushing it to far, since he was the one that came up with the Dream Match idea. Now that could be in the works for late this year maybe.
I would like to see that, who knows, maybe it does happen.
I agree a Pacquiao vs Margarito fight would be of interest. I don’t think that fight happen this year. Margarito needs to get his license back FIRST. Then the talks can begin. I think he needs to get the chip off his shoulder named Paul Williams.
