Jr welterweight contender Victor Ortiz (24-2-1, 19 KOs) returns in a ten round matchup against comebacking veteran Antonio “Tono” Diaz (46-5-1, 29 KOs) in the co-feature on Diaz-Malignaggi II card at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, which was officially announced today. The highly regarded Ortiz is returning for the first time since his exciting KO loss to Marcos Maidana in a world championship fight in June. The 33-year-old Diaz took a nearly three year break from the ring in 2005, but he has won four in a row since returning in 2008. HBO will televise.
