  1. Hey Betsy…too be honest, I was keeping a close eye on Victor Ortiz at the beginning was actually a fan I thought this young man would have a great Future. He was doing so well in his earlier fights. Predicted earlier on the blog and said specifically, that victor needs too try and put Maidana away earlier in the round, if not he is going to be in very, very big trouble, and loose. What happen, the doctor stopped the fight, and the funny thing is he wanted too quit in the first place. Those right hands Maidana was feeding Ortiz was too devastating.

Here’s why I lost so much respect for victor Ortiz. Its what he said after the fight that bothered me.
He said he didn’t want too go out like that in front of his fan and get knocked out, too me that shows no heart at all. You have two belts, go out with your armor too the end of the fight if you loose, so be it, at least you went out like a warrior not like a chump. He could have told the Doctor that he wanted too continue, he made no attempt too.

I’m not sure what the odds where in that fight, sure wish I was a gambler that night. Had a feeling Maidana was going to win in the first place, just wasn’t sure, had that gut feeling.

  2. I am a faithful Victor Ortiz fan and believe he fought a great fight although he kind of fell off that left hook he received from Maidana..I believe he became over confident that he was winning the first 5 rounds until he received that ugly left hook. That’s when all hell broke lose, but other than that I believe he’s still a great fighter..just needs to defend himself little more better

  3. This is going to be a great fight. I’m not sure who’s the favorite here my guess is Ortiz..

If Victor Ortiz, can’t take him out early in this fight he’s going to have some serious, serious problems, because Marcos Maedana can fight he’s a tremendous puncher who can hit just as hard as Ortiz.
Have this fight almost even because both of these guys haven’t really gone to distant. This fight is going to be all about discipline, who has more.

Ortiz keeps his hands up all the time, a style that I admire. He commits too all his punches especially into the body.

As for Marcos Maedana he is also relentless as well, he’s a very devastating puncher and also has lots of speed who mover very well around the ring, very smooth, you just wait and see.

This fight is a must see both of these guys have future, a force to be wrecking with. Honestly don’t know who is going to win, my guess is
    Marcos Maedana.
