WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko will likely defend against mandatory challenger Juan Carlos Gomez on March 21, possibly in Stuttgart, Germany. Gomez’ manager Ahmet Öner told BILD that Gomez, who has been running on Southern California beaches through the holidays, will set up camp in Mallorca. The two sides are hoping to finalize the agreement as soon as today. Reportedly the Klitschkos’ initial offer of $1.2 million has been upped to $1.6 million.
