Ben Thompson from FightHype announce early this week that the younger brother of Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton, will take on former undisputed welterweight champion Zab Judah on the undercard of the July 18 clash between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez. Matthew Hatton (37-4-1, 14KOs) is coming off an eight-round unanimous decision victory over Ernesto Zepeda earlier this month on the undercard of big brother’s disastrous encounter with Manny Pacquiao. Judah (37-6, 25KOs) last fought back in November of last year on the undercard Calzaghe vs. Jones when he won a lackluster ten-round unanimous decision over Ernest Johnson. Although Judah has long been rumored to be making a return to the 140-pound division, this bout will take place at welterweight.
Matthew Hatton will be a good test for Judah, who has seemingly appeared less and less interested in fighting lately. Since 2006, Judah’s career has been on a downward slide, loosing to Carlos Baldomir, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey should Zab loose this fight he should really think about retiring.
I think Jab can still be a force in the welterweight / jr. middleweight divisions if he stays focused & stop clowning around. There are a lot of great fights in those divisions. Yo Zab, you should’ve beat Baldomir & Clottey!!!! Could’ve beat Cotto too!!! When he fought Teron Millet, it was best I’ve seen him look – EVER!! There was NO CLOWNING-JUST FOCUS & DETERMINATION TO DESTROY – A TRUE CHAMPION!! U GOTTA GET THAT BACK ZAB!!!
BROOKLYN BABY BROOKLYN!!!!! Good luck in your upcoming bout…STAY FOCUSED!!!!!
I still believe that Zab can beat anyone if he will persist and keep the clear and cold mind!
all he need its to get rid of his idiots daddy because he really needs a good trainer and not the idiot
Zab, please get back. Zab show to all the world that Cotto is a ballbreaker pussy, so he can do it again and destroy Cotto in rematch. (if refery would be a real refery, and not that mercante Jr butwipe.
That would be a GREAT fight.
LOL yeah I agree!
I respect your opinion, it’s fun to disagree with people that have a brain not like others that just start cussing.
…….Go Marquez!! lol
Hey…tijuana…….Are we finally agreeing on something…..LOL
Maybe this time instead of Judah we’ll see the Hatton dance lol, Judah will win this one if he brings his heart to the fight!
lol , lets hope his chin as not like ricky.
Too be honest. I think Zab Juda is probably the most talented fighter out of all of them. But the problem with him is that he has no heart whats so ever.
I can agree he should think of retiring, if he doesn’t perform too the capabilities that he really has. But the problem is even if he looses this fight. He’s such an attraction he will never go away until he is ready too. as frustrated as I am with him. He’s a talent that we can never forget.
And who is Mathew Hatton? Ive never seen him fight. Is his chin just as good as his brothers…..LOL AhhhHaaaa.
