Let’s support this great card that HBO has on Saturday night !!
First off, it is really sad that two extremely worthy fighters, who other fighters avoid like the plague, aren’t getting more interest.
Winky Wright and Paul Williams are as good as it gets and this should be a fascinating fight with these two highly skilled fighters.
This a WAY, WAY more interesting than anything to do with Oscar De La Polla, Mayfeather, Margarchita, Hatton, Bernard (Boring) Hopkins and the host of those pay for view fighters that are creations of the marketing machines of their team.
All of them hold up great fights where the true contenders will fight each other. So many are waiting for the “big” payday against one of these marketing creations, to make another boring fight.
Williams and Wright are two well matched fighters who have the incentive to want to win, not just take a big payday.
Also, I am very curious to see what happens in the Arreola, McCline fight.
While McCline is on the declining side of his career, he is still a dangerous veteran with skills , who has been in the ring with a log of good fighters.
This will be, in my opinion, the first real test for Arreola, where we can see if he is a true contender or a pretender.
The Wright and Williams fight is something to be excited about.
Thanks,
Jon
