Lateef Kayode and Antonio Tarver fought to a split-decision draw on Saturday night at the Home Depot Center tennis arena. The 43-year-old Tarver (29-6-1) got off to a slow start against the powerful Kayode (18-0-1), Kayode was the more active fighter early on in the fight, landing straight right hands to the head.

Each fighter won the fight on a judge’s scorecard 115-113, but the third judge scored the bout 114-114.

Middleweight Peter Quillin won a hard-fought 10 round unanimous decision over former undisputed world champion Winky Wright.

Wright had his moments in the round, but Quillin finished strong in the 10th. All three judges scored the bout in favor of Quillin, 98-91, 98-91, and 97-92.

The 40-year-old Wright announce on twitter:

@RealWinkyWright: It was fun while it lasted I did what I set out to do and that was to be great. Part of being a good boxer is knowing when to call it quits

@RealWinkyWright: If I can’t be the champion again theres no need to keep boxing. But I thank all of u from the bottom of my heart for always supporting me

Wright had fought just once since losing to Bernard Hopkins in July 2007, losing a one-sided decision to Paul Williams in April 2009.
