Israel Vazquez with being a WBC emeritus champion has the support from the World Boxing Council to challenge the featherweight champion Takahiro Aoh of Japan at any moment.
The WBC stated: “Israel has all the right to go against Aoh directly just as long as he decides. His opportunity is secure.”
“We do not want Israel to face Rafael Marquez again. They already have fought three times and because of their styles they caused a lot of damage to each other,” the WBC also clearly stated. “They should look for other futures, if they insist on a fourth fight then it will be their choice: their lives or money.”
“We are also requiring for the California State Athletic Comission to provide us with the tests results that state that Israel can continue boxing,” the Council said.
