Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame Weekend Begins August 7

nvbhofflier

Hey “Chatter Box” readers, here’s a reminder all about next week’s Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame knockout weekend!

Your LAST CHANCE to purchase tickets to this prestigious event is on Wednesday, August 5 (online sales end on this day) and there will be no other way to reserve your Induction Awards Dinner tickets after this date. This is your opportunity to mingle with the champs, pro fighters, celebrities and other famous faces at the 3rd Annual Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame (NVBHOF) event in which 21 inductees will be ushered into the Class of 2015 on August 8, 2015 at the storied Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

And the best part of it all is the NVBHOF is a nonprofit organization so your ticket purchase is tax deductible and also supports their community programs to help disadvantaged youth. Tickets start at 75.00 and are deductible. Founder/President Rich Marotta and new Chief Operating Officer Michelle Corrales-Lewis have both expressed to me how this year will be their best event yet. There will be many highlights throughout the weekend along with several surprises in store for the lucky attendees.

I’ve attended this bash since its inception and every year gets bigger and better. Where else can you see so many superstars all in one place in the Mecca of Boxing–Las Vegas. Previous years have seen rival Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard and Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson take the stage together as the flashbulbs popped, making for an instant highlight reel.

Which champions will be on stage this year?

Fight fans will be able to see actress (and big boxing aficionado) Rosie Perez, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Marco Antonio Barrera, Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Felix “Tito” Trinidad, Sugar Ray Leonard, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Jessie Vargas, Layla McCarter, Shawn Porter, Badou Jack, Kevin Kelley, Ava Knight, and many, many more local and out-of-state boxers planning to attend this yearly function. And none other than Floyd Mayweather Jr. himself will be the recipient of this year’s “Fighter of the Year.”

NVBHOF2015And this year there is a brand NEW addition to the weekend gala. On Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, there will be a special museum exhibit with boxing memorabilia that will give you the chance to see rare items and collectibles from around the world. There will be free admission to this exhibit (with a suggested donation to the nonprofit) and autograph and plenty of “selfies” with the champs. There will also be in-ring demos, raffle prize drawings, fun giveaways, special booths with the elite sponsors/VIP associates including the World Boxing Council (WBC), House of Boxing Champions, Title Boxing Equipment, etc. and a whole lot more.

An added treat is that the legendary Caesars Palace will have their own boxing ring displayed. Boxing fans from decades ago can still vividly recall seeing live action at the famed hotel and casino on the glittering Vegas Strip. Now you have the opportunity to see this vintage ring up close!

And yes, during the Friday and Saturday events, there will be various prizefighters surprising the guests and these sluggers will be available for photos and autographs. You never know who will show up as boxers from all over will be flying into Vegas for this exciting gathering. Don’t forget to pack your Sharpies and boxing gloves for this NVBHOF event!

Don’t miss out on a KO time with the stars.

After the Museum Exhibit and Autograph Show, Saturday will culminate in the highly-anticipated Awards Dinner and 2015 Induction Ceremony.

This NVBHOF weekend is a one-two punch combination that shouldn’t be missed!
