“Travieso” Arce Defeats Angkota!

Jorge “Travieso” Arce conquered his fifth title in three different divisions when he captured the vacant WBO super flyweight title last night against Indonesian Angy Angkota by technical decision after seven rounds in Mexico City. After Angkota suffered an accidental head butt and was not able to continue, the result when to the score cards where the three judges had it 58-56, and 60-54 twice, all for Arce.

Through out the night, Arce (53-6-1, 40KO) controlled the majority of the fight with pressure and a hard body attack led by left hooks to the liver while Angkota (23-5, 14KO) was able at times slow down the onslaught with counter right hand upper cuts.
