Jorge “Travieso” Arce continues his preparation at the Romanza gym in Mexico City under the watchful eye of the legendary Nacho Beristain,
his new trainer.

box_jorge_arce_200Arce is tentatively scheduled to reappear insid a ring on June 20th in Ciudad Juarez, MX.

In his last bout, Arce was stopped in eleven rounds by the undisputed super flyweight champion Vic Darchynian in Anaheim, CA.

Now Arce states that he is acclimating himself to the altitude of Mexico City and the training style of Nacho Beristain.

I am working very hard in the gym so that the fans can see a difference,” Arce stated in between sessions. “I hope they notice so that they can value the work that we are doing here.”

His next opponent might be a Filipino.

Another fighter that Arce has in between his marks is the South African Simpiwe Nogqayi who in his last bout defeated Arce’s brother Francisco.

“First and foremost, we need to win our next fight and then go for a title and then avenge the loss of my brother against the South African,
I have him in my sights.”

Arce stated that he will fight two more times in super flyweight before he moves up to the 118 lbs. division.
