“The Event” undercards

So it turns out that Antonio Margarito will not be fighting on the Pacquiao vs. Clottey ‘The Event’ on March 13 at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Top Rank and Jerry Jones, owner of the NFL Dallas Cowboys, hosted a press conference in Mexico City today and didn’t mention the Tijuana Tornado being part of the under card.

I don’t know about you, but paying $54.95 to see Jose Luis Castillo (60-9-1, 52 KOs) take on currently ranked WBC #9 Alfonso Gomez (21-4-2) and John Duddy (28-1, 18 KOs) vs. Michael Medina (22-1-2, 17 KOs) doesn’t sound all that great after all. Other bouts that are taken place, but will not be broadcast on the PPV featherweight Salvador Sanchez (18-3-2, 8 KOs) opponent to be announce. Roberto Marroquin (11-0, 8 KOs) will also be part of the bout.

  1. Wow, what a shitty waste of time and money this card is! As a lifelong boxing fan I will boycott this card and wait to see the replay of the main event the week after or at a friends. Arum is an asshole who continues to shove his shit down our throats. BULLSHIT.
