Who are the top-rated boxers of 2022? The great modern-day boxer must train relentlessly to remain on the top. This article looks at the most important names in the combat game based on several factors. The rankings will consider performance, reputation, influence, and momentum rather than a pound-for-pound list. Here are our top five picks for male boxers in the current season:

5. Stevenson Shakur

The WBC, WBO, and The Ring super featherweight champion, 24-year-old Stevenson, is quickly becoming boxing’s present. The Olympic silver medalist, who once held the WBO featherweight belt, has dominated the professional scene since switching in 2017.

In his most recent performance, Stevenson established himself as a main-event talent by defeating Oscar Valdez by unanimous decision last month while looking terrific. Gervonta “Tank” Davis, the current WBA “regular” lightweight champion, has indicated an interest in facing Stevenson next.

4. Jermell Charlo

Charlo concluded his unfinished business with Brian Castano at the second opportunity. The first meeting between the two ended in a draw in July 2021. They recently squared off again. In 10 rounds, Charlo defeated Castano to win the undisputed light middleweight title.

Iron Man became just the fifth male boxer to hold the title of undisputed champion during the four-belt period thanks to the spectacular victory. He is a favorite to fans of boxing betting on Unibet Sportsbook, thanks to his exploits in the ring. Moreover, his win over Castano has earned him a spot in the rankings for the first time and entered the pound-for-pound discussion.

3. Errol Spence Jr.

Terence Crawford, our ninth choice, and Spence are dependent on one another. The only fight that makes sense for any of the two men who hold all four welterweight world titles is when they square up and put their undefeated records on the line.

With the probable exception of an undisputed heavyweight title fight, this would likely be the largest boxing competition ever seen. But even then, Spence and Crawford are the best heavyweight matchup. Their respective records, belts, and skills. This battle has it all.

2. Oleksandr Usyk

‘The Cat’ is our de facto heavyweight world champion in a Tyson Fury-less universe

. The WBA, WBO, and IBF heavyweight champion are now in charge of boxing’s marquee division if “The Gypsy King” isn’t going to compete again.

It’s a title Usyk is deserving of. His achievements in the ring merit attention despite his extraordinary bravery in joining the Ukrainian territory defense brigade in their conflict with Russia. His September victory over Anthony Joshua, the undisputed cruiserweight champion and former unbeaten fighter, will be long remembered. There isn’t a stronger heavyweight right now, but if Fury returns, his division dominance might be challenged.

1. Dmitry Bivol

One more? The WBA light heavyweight champion shocked everyone by decisively defeating “Canelo.” Alvarez was frustrated by Bivol’s superb boxing, ultimately defeating him. Many questioned his ability to trouble the Mexican, given that he is not well recognized for his strength. But dexterous abilities and clever use of distance baffled and defeated “Canelo.”

The world is now Bivol’s oyster, and while a rematch with Alvarez will have to wait, there will probably be a line around the block to take on the sport’s newest superstar.
