Sylvester Stallone, who played a roll of an underdog boxer from Philadelphia named Rocky Balboa, was named — along with Iron Mike Tyson and Julio Cesar Chavez, among others — to the 12-member 2011 class for induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame and Museum.

But its not all peaches and cream some boxing fans are furious that Sylvester Stallone was even consider for the International Boxing Hall of Fame. SportsNation co-host Michelle Beadle disagrees, “You don’t go to the hall of fame for a sport you made a movie about. Mike Tyson bled, Julio Cesar Chavez was in pain, and Sylvester Stallone put on makeup to look like he was in a fight.”

Well other feel Stallone deserves the honor. The boxing hall of fame is comprised of those who have made a contribution to the sport. A generation of kids wanted to box because of Sylvester Stallone and after Muhammad Ali, the second biggest name in boxing is Rocky.

“Rocky” movie series that not only made Sylvester Stallone what he is today, but also captured boxing’s heart for decades. Though, he never actually box professionally Sylvester Stallone, who wrote and starred in a six-pack of Rocky movies, became one of the most recognizable faces in boxing and I believe he deserves to be inducted.

I could already hear it “Yo, Adrian! I did it!”

What’s your opinion does Sylvester Stallone deserves to be inducted?
