Six-Time World Champion Sugar Shane Mosley (Left) and Welterweight World Champion Andre Berto (Right) pose on November 14, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada at the press conference to officially announce their January 30, 2010 bout at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas which will be televised live on HBO’s World Championship Boxing.

Lou Dibella: “You looked sensational against Margarito but you had a guy in front of you. He came right at you and had no speed. Right before the fight, he got caught for the cheater he is. As good as you looked, he let you look better than you are. Father time is not any of our friends and on January 30th in my heart I believe that the Shane Mosley era ends and the Berto era begins.”

Oscar De La Hoya: “38 is now the 28 of today. (Mosley) is still young and fresh. That’s what sets him apart from all the fighters today.”

Shane Mosley: “I always thought Berto fought like me and I did say he made a lot of mistakes. He still makes those mistakes and its going to be a problem when we fight. I’m so excited to be able to fight on January 30th. I can’t wait.”

  1. hate to say it but mostly youre wrong for this one man u gona beat the living shit out this kid berto has no chance i saw him losse his last fight and they gave it to him but mostly is gona demolish this dude

  2. Mosley should win a decision , Mosley can knock him out if Berto doesn’t cover up and tries to bang with him .

  3. I really don’t think Andre Berto has no choice but too fight. Now the real test will will come for him. He’s going too have too prove what a champion is made out of by defending that world vacant belt that he captured witch he owns now.

The problem is, Berto likes too run and throw punches and also likes too hold on whenever he’s in trouble, I Thought he already got exposed when he fought Collazo and his last recent fight witch I found quite boring, he also did some more holding as well. Does he have good hand speed, he sure does. But when it comes to a guy like Shane Mosley he better fight and not hold won’t too do much any good with a that type of caliber fighter.

  4. Its go be a great night I cant wait. Much, mush respect to Berto for even stepping up to a guy like Shane. Alot of people fear Mosley but to the point of the matter for Jan 30, Berto will have to put major pressure on Shane im talking persistance in every round with no slacking. Berto Speed will be a graet advantage but he can not go toe to toe or close up. The thing for Berto to win this fight is hit every hit with accuracy and dont miss or waste punches. Berto has to stay on his feet and keep Shane coming at him. I dont see Berto knocking him out at all. Now as for Mosley, HONESTLY cant say anything execpt to stay explosive and that cardio up because Berto is not going to square up in close range. This should be an easy but hard win for Shane in my eyes, pressure and left hooks that kill. The test that night for Berto will be his chin. And the question for Shane if he can keep that Mad MAN Pressure on him like he did with Margarito
