Scott Harrison Sentenced to Prison Time!

jail-cell-man2According to a report by the associated press dated for today in Madrid, Spain, the former WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison of Scotland has been convicted for attempted grand theft auto and sentenced to two and half years in prison by a tribunal in Malaga, Spain.

The court hearing, which the associated press had access to, considers Harrison of the crime which took place on October 6, 2006 in Alhaurin
el Grande in the province of Malaga where Harrison was stationed before a proposed bout.

It is alleged that Harrison along with his now deceased uncle attacked a couple and tried to car jack their vehicle as well as attacking a police
officer who tried stopping them.

Harrison will have to pay 4,848 Euros to the three victims as well as court costs.

The ex fighter who is 31 years old and whose license was revoked three years ago has spent five weeks under custody in 2006 while waiting to
be set free under bail.

In 2008 he was jailed in Glasgow for attacking his girlfriend and a police officer. Harrison held a record of 25-4, 14KO as a
professional.
