VIC DARCHINYAN

“SHOWTIME is like my home and I look forward to defending my title again on SHOWTIME and fighting in front of my fans at Agua Caliente.

“This is a good fight for me and a fight where I will showcase all my skills – not just a punch. I feel really good and had a great training camp. I plan to do everything — box, think and stay calm.

“Guerrero is a good kid and he’s fought a couple good fighters and done very well. There’s no way I’m going to underestimate him.

“I think he has a future in boxing, but it won’t begin until after I beat him on Saturday.

“I don’t want to talk about any possible fights for me in the future. My main focus is on Guerrero and defeating a determined, young opponent. I am here and ready to do my job.

“If the knockout comes, it comes. But it is going to come. He will feel my power.’’

RODRIGO GUERRERO

“I am really happy and excited for this opportunity – my chance of a lifetime. This is what I have waited for my whole life and I am confident of doing well.

“When they first told me I was fighting for a world title, it was such a huge surprise, I couldn’t believe it. I still didn’t believe it for a little while. But, finally, after about two weeks of sparring, it sunk in. I’d been promised major fights before, but they never happened. Now, this one is here, and I am ready.

“I know a lot of people may not have heard of me, but I guarantee I am not here to fall down in the first or 12th round – or any round, for that matter. People and fans who have never seen me fight are saying I’m no good. I believe they are all in for a surprise, a really big surprise.

“Everyone has an opinion, but the negative talk has only given me more motivation. And I didn’t need any more motivation. Fighting for two world titles was enough. Darchinyan is a great fighter with a lot of power. But, watch and see, I can fight and I have power, too. This is going to be a great fight.’’

LENNY “LITTLE ZAPPA’’ ZAPPAVIGNA

“I’ve had great sparring, great training and am 100 percent excited about fighting on SHOWTIME and showing the whole world what I can do.

“I definitely want to win very impressively, but my goal, my destiny, is to win the belt. That is why I’m here and I am not leaving without that belt. I would fight a Mike Tyson if there was a belt on the line.

“After the fight, I am not going to look back and think to myself, ‘I should have done this, I should have done that.’ I am going to do it all on Saturday. I have my own style and I know the fans will like it.’’

  1. dude.first of all I am not an English teacher and claim to be one ,but you wrote the word trash in a wrong way.again you misunderstood me.please pay attention this time ,I am not saying that Vic is a bum.I am saying that Donair’s last opponent was a BUM .I hope that you can understand what I am trying to say.I think Donair is an overrated fighter and that doesn’t mean that I do not like him because he is from the philippiens .why do have to throw the race card in order for you to defend your fighter. The same thing with Manny ,if I don’t like manny ,is that means that I am racist .if there someone who is racist is you .
I only admire Ali and Tyson and nobody ever will
accomplish what they have accomplish .
By the way you didn’t answer my question in regards to your question in your previous comment when you mentioned the word BALUT
i really didn’t understand what did you mean .

  2. Giving credit where credit is due, THANK U FOR THE CORRECTION. I love that. Now u r my teacher in English 101. Now, teacher, please teach me also how to accept reality. Donaire [pronounced as DOH-NHAI-REH , three syllables, not as DOH-NAIR. He is a pure blooded Filipino] is not overrated. I am absolutely sure of that. Review the Darchinyan vs Donaire fight some more time. Before he fought DONAIRE, Vic knocked out several people in the ring. He even KOed another Filipino DIOSDADO GABI, now retired. But as against DONAIRE, Vic suddenly became a B U M and OVERRATED. See? Please try to learn also how to respect the achievements of others. If you cannot accept the fact that DONAIRE is non-American in blood and skin color (although he is in fact a US citizen), please at least be RESPECTFUL WITH YOUR WORDS. NOBODY IN THIS WORLD HAS THE MONOPOLY OF ACHIEVEMENTS. Did you finish elementary school, by the way? I am just curious.

  3. First of all ,I didn’t say that donair is bum .I said
last time he fought a bum.I really don’t know what are you talking a bout .I only said that he is
an overrated fighter and didn’t say bum.
I really didn’t understand your question at the end can you please elaborate ?

Last thing it is not thrash talk it’s “trash talk ”
I am not trash talking, I am just saying the truthe

  4. I cannot count anymore how many times I have seen that CRAZY DANCE of VIC “THE RAGING BULL” DARCHINYAN on youtube. And the one who taught that very special dance was a “bum” and “overrated fighter, NONITO “The Filipino Flash” DONAIRE JR. Nonito is also fond of TINOLANG MANOK WITH MALUNGGAY and BALUT plus MAINIT NA KANIN and PRITONG ISDA, the excellent and no equal STEROIDS from the PHILIPPINES. Thrash-Talking Bum LOVE BOXING have u ever tasted the great BALUT from the Philippines?

  5. Thrash-talking bum LOVE BOXING, Donaire is a bum? overrated? The only fighter who gave ur beloved Vic the KO loss in his boxing career? Of all bums and overrated fighters, as u said, I love this bum and overrated FIGHTER FROM THE PHILIPPINES. HE DOMINATED YOUR BELOVED VIC FROM ROUND 1 TO 5 and MADE HIM DANCE A CRAZY DANCE IN 5TH. I love bums and overrated fighters like Donaire. HE CAN MAKE FIGHTERS LIKE VIC CREATE NEW DANCE CRAZE. BEAUTIFUL. NO DIs in the world is capable of teaching that kind of dance. Only Donaire Jr. Specially when the student is Vic. and Hopefully, you thrash talker.

  6. man what are you talking about .I guess that you do do not follow boxing .Doniat the over rated fighter fought a bum last time and Vic has been asking for a rematch ,but Donair is acting like a pu… .Donair thinks that he a champ .he is just
an overrated fighter just like Manny who in the eyes of a lot people lost against Marquez twice .

  7. Vic Darchinyan when are you going to fight Nonito Donaire Jr …AGAIN?
It seems you have been avoiding him. RIGHT?????????
