Lucian Bute on Showtime

IBF super middleweight champion Lucian Bute (27-0, 22 KOs) will make his SHOWTIME debut on March 19 against reigning Euro champion Brian Magee (34-3-1, 21 KOs) at the Bell Centre in Montreal. Super middleweight Edison Miranda (33-5, 29 KOs) has also been lined up to face local hero Renan St. Juste (22-2-1, 15 KOs).

Update on David Haye and Klitschko

WBA heavyweight champion David Haye has agreed to a 50/50 split from a unification clash against WBO/IBF world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2011. The Klitschko Camp has set a deadline of January 4 to agree terms for the unification clash, and Haye’s trainer and manager Adam Booth claims all previous stumbling blocks have been removed. “We are now perfectly positioned to get together and make this fight with Wladimir Klitschko,” said Booth. “We have sorted out all the old problems and disagreements and are ready to sign the deal both (Klitschko’s manager) Bernd Boente and I discussed on Sky Sports’ Ringside show in November.

David Diaz is back!

Former WBC lightweight champion David Diaz (35-3-1, 17 KOs) returns as the main event on January 28th at the UIC Pavilion also Carlos Molina (17-4, 5 KOs) is scheduled to fight. The opponents have not been announced.
