Daniel Ponce de Leon, former WBO super bantamweight champion, decided to move his camp to Los Angeles, CA, in which he would look for a better preparation for his interim WBA featherweight world title fight on January 30th in Las Vegas, NV.
Ponce will face Daud Sino Yordan of Indonesia. The former champion began to train in his native Chihuahua but at the suggestion of his team, changed camps to California.
Ponce de Leon is on a quest for his second world title. His bout against Yordan will take place at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV, on the undercard of the unification fight between Shane Mosley and Andre Berto.
Ponce has won his last three fights after losing his title at the hands of Juan Manuel Lopez. His next opponent, Yordan holds a record of 25 wins with 19 KOs against no losses.
