Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is flying to Philippines on Sunday with Michael Konz, Pacquiao’s adviser, with four options for his next fight. With Mayweather out of the mix for the time being, as he is scheduled to begin serving a three-month jail term on Friday for a domestic abuse conviction, Arum said the list he will offer to Pacquiao includes Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Cotto, Timothy Bradley Jr. and Lamont Peterson.
Arum said he had no particular preference on which opponent Pacquiao should select.
“I’ll explain all the scenarios to Manny, but I don’t care,” Arum told ESPN.com. “I’m Switzerland. I’ll present the opponents and we’ll discuss it, but Manny makes his own decision. Now if I was leaning a particular way and I told Manny, he would probably do it because that’s the kind of guy he is.”

@ Jamie, I agree about Floyd besting Pacquiao. All I know is at least they are considering fighters that are in their prime or still have something left in the tank. Although I dont think I will pay to watch Manny fight again until he meets Mayweather and vice versa for Floyd. The only other fighter I’d want to see Floyd fight is Martinez since Arum obviously does not want any of his cash cows mixing with Martinez, Floyd’s camp at least considers him an option. Then the hardcore Pac fans will scream that he’s too big even though he’s actually an inch smaller that Margs I guess they confuse the word big with the word talented when it comes to Martinez. lmao

Marquez is a dead issue, there’s no coming back from a draw and two losses so they might as well kill that noise. Noone wants to pay to see a repeat of the last three fights anyway. A rematch with Cotto sounds interesting and it would be cool to see him beat the only guy that ever really beat him, but Cotto would have to fight a lot smarter cuz the last fight didnt end well for him. I will not pay to see Pacman vs Bradly or Peterson plain & simple. Peterson didn’t beat Amir Khan and should be setting up a rematch. Bradly wouldn’t even fight Amir so why should either one of them get a shot at the top dog? Bradly should probably look for a fight with Shane Mosely or something like that. Cotto & Marquez are the better fights with better money. The problem with the Cotto fight is that I dont see him going down to 147 and Manny can’t make 154. That means that once again Manny would be given a catch weight for a title he can’t hold nor defend. Honestly I think Cotto could do better things with his career at this point. Sounds to me like Arum is getting desprit. Maybe Arum should get Floyd to agree to a fight while his bitch ass is locked up, he doesnt have anything better to do now does he? lmao
