WBO featherweight champion Orlando “Siri” Salido (36-11-2, 24 KOs) battered outgunned challenger Kenichi “Machine Gun” Yamaguchi (17-2-2, 4 KOs) until referee Roberto Ramírez Jr. stopped the one-sided fight in round eleven on Saturday night at the CUM in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico. Salido dropped Yamaguchi in round three and dominated all the way. Time was 2:50. Former champion Juan Manuel Lopez was in attendance cheering for Salido to win. They are expected to meet in a rematch this October.
All Salido needs is knockout power. Good luck to him…
Can’t wait for the rematch, I think Salido should get home court this time around. He went to Puerto Rico and took the title lets see if Lopez can do the same.
