New Interactive Boxing Museum in Vegas

Big news from the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame (NVBHOF)!

They will be hosting a Grand Opening of their interactive boxing exhibit on SATURDAY, JUNE 22 at HeadzUP Vegas.

The nonprofit organization was founded by Hall of Famer Rich Marotta and is currently helmed by President Michelle Corrales-Lewis.

During the recent WBC Green Belt Challenge, I caught up with the NVBHOF’s James Wimberly, a former fighter who had a booth at the three-day amateur boxing bash. The group is looking forward to this new museum and also their gala weekend taking place August 9-10 at the Red Rock Casino. JR Zinzun (IGMOB) was also with Wimberly as the two showcased commemorative NVBHOF gear.

The NVBHOF induction ceremonies are always star-studded events with champions, boxing luminaries and fans from around the world all gathering in one place. There will be a lot of activities planned for Saturday’s Grand Opening. Hosted by famed referee Joe Cortez, guests will witness a ribbon-cutting ceremony, raffles, auction, giveaways, food, drinks and more. (Tickets: www.nvbhof.com). On Friday, June 21, there is also a Blood Drive at HeadzUP from 4-8 PM.

Don’t miss out on this weekend’s fiesta! Champs and prizefighters scheduled to attend include Shawn Porter, Joel Casamayor, Leon Spinks, Mike McCallum plus many other familiar faces in the sport and representatives from the World Boxing Council (WBC’s Nancy Rodriguez) and more. And ticket holders will get a chance to be among the first to see this knockout exhibit!

Proceeds help to develop boxing programs for the underserved in the community and beyond.

Lend a fist of support to this worthwhile cause!
