Boxing fans around the world are in for a treat August 8-10 when the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame (NVBHOF) hosts their special weekend celebrating their Class of 2023 and 2024 inductees. Be sure to purchase your tickets now (https://www.nvbhof.com) so you can witness all the action.
I’ve had the honor of attending all of the award ceremonies since its inception and I have no doubt the this 12th Annual Induction Gala will be another event to remember. This year’s activities will take place at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Founder Rich Marotta, CEO/President Michelle Corrales-Lewis, COO/Vice President Anthony Randolph and their Board of Directors always work tirelessly to present a KO weekend for the fans, honorees and the boxing community. This year marks a lot of firsts for the nonprofit organization. It will be the first time the fiesta is being held at The Orleans where there will also be a bowling party and a USA Boxing amateur show. You can also find souvenirs, collectibles, cool merch and more.
Preceding Saturday night’s exciting Induction Gala, Dinner and Awards Ceremony, there will be the popular Meet & Greet Fan Experience, a brand new Legends of the Ring Celebrity Bowling Experience (hosted by Zab Judah) and the inaugural Diego Corrales Classic (Amateur Boxing Green Belt Tournament).
I caught up with Michelle Corrales-Lewis to hear her thoughts on the upcoming Hall of Fame weekend. I asked her what is she looking forward to the most about the August 8-10 gatherings?

“I’m looking forward to the good times that we have when the champs come together for our Induction weekends,” she replies. “And seeing the smiles on the fans’ and the champs’ face are priceless–which is what keeps us going.”

It’s always a fun get-together where old buddies and rivals reconnect, where you make new friends and also see so many boxing champions and prizefighters receive their much-deserved time in the spotlight.

Corrales-Lewis agrees as she mentions: “The venue is nice but it’s the energy and the excitement that the inductees have in coming together and listening to their stories and see how the champions interact with one another.”
She also wants to continue to honor these warriors who really give it their all in the ring. The sacrifice, the blood, sweat and tears for all of our enjoyment. And the NVBHOF gives them their full respect and glory to once again shine in the spotlight.
“And that’s just so rewarding and it’s the reason why we keep going…you know, giving someone their flowers while they’re here to accept them just means the world to me. Nothing hurts more than if someone that I feel has been on our ballot or truly deserving passed away before we have an opportunity to induct them as a thank you from the boxing world. I think it kind of puts the stamp on it and shows them that what they did in the ring really mattered, and to know that the fans were watching. And that’s why it is so important to keep Hall of Fame is going!”
The 2024 NVBHOF weekend of events will be an epic time for all so be sure to get your tickets now.
