Ronald “Winky” Wright (51-5-1, 25 KOs) will face unbeaten Peter Quillin (26-0, 20 KOs) May 5th on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs Miguel Cotto main event.
Juan Manuel “Juanma” Lopez will take on Orlando “Siri” Salido on March 10 at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Mikey Garcia (27-0, 23 KOs) will risk his undefeated record when he faces two-time world championship challenger Bernabe Concepcion (34-4-1, 17 KOs) on March 10 as the co-main event to the Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Orlando Salido. Both fights will be televised live on SHOWTIME
The IBF has made Carl Froch the mandatory challenger to Lucian Bute’s super-middleweight title. Although their deal isn’t completed yet, Froch promoter Eddie Hearn announced there has been talk to come into an agreement and make this fight happen, but Showtime’s involvement. It has Bute under contract for one more fight and the network isn’t interested in the Bute-Froch fight, going so far as to give him permission to shop the bout elsewhere, including HBO, which was also not interested. If they can find a network to broadcast the fight there targeting the fight in May.
